Ashikaga Flower Park

I went to Ashikaga Flower Park on April 25th.

Ashikaga Flower Park

The Park is in Tochigi Prefecture, it takes about 3 hours from my house in Fukushima.

It is very famous for its wisteria flowers.

Admission fee changes every day depends on the bloom condition. We payed 1300 yen on that day(little bit expensive).

There are many wisteria-trellis in the park, we can enjoy violet, white , pink and yellow wisteria flowers.  But the flowers bloomed later than last year, we saw only violet and white wisteria. Sad…..

Doubled- flowered (Yae-zakura) cherry trees were  in full bloom.

My mother and I enjoyed strolling around the town.

The sign says ” Fuji sofuto” in Japanese, literally means wisteria ice cream corn.

It does taste like wisteria. It was not too sweet and very tasty!

Well, we really had a good time there and also enjoyed driving along the expressway.

Isn’t it so nice to be surrounded by beautiful flowers??

We were able to get refreshed in the garden!

SnowDrop

My mother and I went to the Akebono Sake(Japanese wine) brewery in Yanaizu town, Fukushima last year.

Yanaizu town is located in the western region of Fukushima prefecture and it gradually became a booming area being the temple town of Enzo-ji Temple.

Fukushima prefecture is very famous for its Sake, Japanese wine.

As you know, Tsunami and the nuclear disaster struck in March 2011.

Fukushima’s  products  still struggle with problems related to the nuclear crisis, but  a brewery in Fukushima Prefecture has won the top sake prize in 2015!

This news was a great news for all the sake breweries in Fukushima and also we are very proud of a variety kinds of Sake.

My top recommend is “SnowDrop” of Akebono brewery.

”SnowDrop” is sake made of yogurt, it is low alcohol and tastes sweet.

You can enjoy drinking by being mixed with soda water!

Of course it goes with fish and meat. You’d love it!
