Do you like traveling?
Autumn is the best season to enjoy color leaves and beautiful nature in Japan.
I wake up every morning and open the window.
Seeing the beautiful mountain veiw from my house and feeling the warm sunshine….that make me feel happy , want to go somewhere!
Last Sunday, I went to Morioka, Iwate to see a play “Homura-tatsu” by my favorite kabuki actor Ainosuke Kataoka.
I jumped into the Shinkansen (=bullet train)to see my dear Ainosuke!LOL
It was a really short trip , but that’s OK, I am really satisfied.
I wonder where I should go next time……maybe Kyoto to see my son.
He loves playing the violin , so now he is a member of the orchestra of Kyoto University.
Here are some pictures he sent me . Those are taken in Hokkaido where he went for a consert tour.
I was really worried to hear that he would go there by ship.
The sinking of the MV Sewol in Korea occured in April, I remember that.
That was a huge tragedy ― so much suffering, so many lives lost.
I went on board ship to Florida on my honeymoon many years ago and that was a nightmare…..my husband and I were seasick!
Do you like ship?
Which do you choose plane or ship when you take a long trip?
I know both flying and sailing are very safe ways to travel, but still, I will choose bullet train or drive myself!
I wholeheartedly agree! Autumn is the best time to enjoy the beautiful nature in Japan. If it were possible, I’d hop on a shinkansen and go to Kyoto too. (But maybe it’s still a bit early?)
The photos your son took are beautiful! I’ve been to Hokkaido a few times, but only in the winter. That’s another place I should probably explore a little more, since it is such a beautiful place.
And I totally agree with you about travel. If I could take a bullet train to the U.S., I would! I’m terribly afraid of flying and I get extremely seasick 😦

Hi, Miwa!
I guess late in October or November is the best season to enjoy autumn leaves in Kyoto.
Have you ever seen Yukimatsuri(Snow Festival) in Sapporo, Hokkaido?
I have never, so I want to go there someday.
